He said in *** statement, well, the time has come, I’ve decided that our 41st season which begins in September will be my last. Sajak will serve as *** consultant to the show for three years after leaving his on camera role, the executive V P of game shows at Sony Pictures Television which produces Wheel of Fortune said we are incredibly grateful and proud to have had Pat as our host for all these years and we look forward to celebrating his outstanding career throughout the upcoming season. Jack was *** weatherman at KNBC in Los Angeles when Wheel of Fortune offered him the job as the host of the NBC daytime version of the show in 1981. Vanna White joined him *** year later. Then in 1983 they became the faces of the evening syndicated version of the series. Jared Leto hosted a portion of “Wheel of Fortune” on Monday as an April Fools Day prank. At the beginning of the show, Leto walked out with the show’s letter-turner, Vanna White. The announcer of the show then said, “Here are the stars of our show, Jared Leto and Vanna White.” They then parted ways as White does every night with the usual host Pat Sajack, with White going to the board and Leto going to the wheel without explaining why he was there. Leto then hosted the opening puzzle, with the guests being slightly confused as to why he was there.After the first puzzle was completed, Pat Sajack returned to the wheel and Leto left, without any explanation.Later, Wheel of Fortune posted on Instagram about the host switcheroo saying, “Did you notice anything different in tonight’s show?! #AprilFools.”
