Belgian coach Sven Vandenbroek, coach of the Moroccan sports team Wydad, said that the CAF Champions League final match that will bring his team together with its Al-Ahly counterpart will be more balanced.
“Wydad’s qualification for the CAF Champions League final came thanks to the experience possessed by the team’s players,” the Wydad coach said, in an interview with the South African newspaper “Idisisky Times”.
The Belgian coach added, “Wydad has been in the semi-finals of the African Champions League over the past five seasons, so we have this maturity and experience that help the team a lot.”
And about the final match against Al-Ahly, the Moroccan Wydad coach said: “It is the same final as last season, so I can imagine that Al-Ahly wants to take revenge on Wydad.”
And he concluded, according to what was published by the Moroccan tournament website: “I think that the final will be more balanced than the semi-final that the South African Sun Downs dominated in front of us. Against Al-Ahly, I think we will play more in our own way, and I know them well.”
Al-Ahly will meet Moroccan Wydad on June 4 in the first leg of the CAF Champions League final, on the grounds of Cairo International Stadium, and the return match will be held in Casablanca, on the 11th of the same month.
