Frenchman Didier Debris, goalkeeper of “F91 Didelangi” from Luxembourg, made a fatal mistake during his team’s match in the qualifiers for the group stage of the third edition of the European Conference League.
Didelangi beat Saint Patrick Athletic of Ireland 3-2 in the second leg of the first round of the qualifiers, to continue its path to the group stage after winning the first leg also 2-1.
The guests took the lead early on through Oig Setse van Lingen, but young goalkeeper Debriz gave the homeowners hope after gifting them the equalizer in a very strange way.
After a joint shot between two players after the middle of the field, the ball rose to the top, reaching the borders of the penalty area, so Debris decided to get out of his goal to push it away, and he miscalculated the ball, as he hit it with his head, so it went back and continued its way towards the net, scoring the equalizing goal for St. Patrick Athletic in the 22nd minute.
It’s a bizarre equalizer but we don’t care! 1-1 on the night & 2-3 in the tie overall pic.twitter.com/q7B9jDLIYd

Fortunately for the young goalkeeper (who is a France under-20 national team player), this goal did not affect much of the qualification process, as his team reached the second round of the European Conference League qualifiers.
