Roy Vitoria, coach of the Egyptian national team, revealed the position of Al-Ahly players on leaving the ranks of the Pharaohs after their victory over their Ethiopian counterpart this evening, in the African qualifiers.
The Egyptian national team achieved victory over its Ethiopian counterpart, 1-0, in the confrontation that was held this evening at the Air Defense Stadium, in the final round of qualifiers for the 2024 African Nations Championship in Côte d’Ivoire.
Rui Vitoria said in his statements during the press conference after the match with Ethiopia: “We achieved what was required and succeeded in winning, and we were closest to scoring the second goal.”
He continued: “We were the better team in the match with Ethiopia and we deserved the three points and the win.”
He added: “Mohamed Salah will join us tomorrow, Saturday, before the Tunisia match, and he will be with us in the friendly match.”
He added: “Al-Ahly quartet? The players will return to their team, in addition to Pyramids player Mohamed Reda Boubou.”
He concluded: “Mohamed Hamdi’s injury? We will see the situation and the possibility of bringing in another player or players before facing Tunisia or not.”
