Trippier got angry with a Newcastle fan
Trippier appeared in a video clip circulated on the social networking site X, getting into an angry argument with a Newcastle fan following the defeat.
The English newspaper Mirror published Trippier’s conversation with a Newcastle fan, and he said: “So the players are not giving everything they have? How many injuries has the team suffered?”
His teammate Joelinton intervened to remove him and calm him down before things went away in light of the turbulent emotions after the loss to Bournemouth.
After that, Trippier spoke to Sky Sports: “The fans are very emotional. They came a long way here and spent a lot of money to support the team.”
He explained: “I just spoke to someone, and I said that we are giving everything we have and our position is good in the league, and we are still in the Champions League and the Federation Cup. There is no need to worry. We were defeated and we only apologize for that.”
He concluded: “The players give everything they have in the matches, and we give more despite the circumstances the team is going through, and this is the most important thing.”
