Egyptian star Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, player of the Turkish Trabzonspor team, commented on the incident of “spitting”, which he was subjected to by one of the opponent’s players in his team’s match against Fenerbahce in the Turkish League.

Trezeguet said in statements published by the Turkish newspaper “Photo Mac”, today, Tuesday: “I am sorry for what happened, and I see that I am lucky not to witness the incident during the match.”

The Egyptian star added, “I felt bad when I saw it, but I did not see the incident at the time it happened, and I do not want to say anything else about this matter.”

Trezeguet led his team, Trabzonspor, to sweep away its guest, Fatih Qara Customs, 4/1, yesterday, Monday, in the thirty-fifth stage of the Turkish Premier League.

Marc Bartra advanced with a goal for Trabzon in the eighth minute, but after only six minutes, Mbaye Diagne responded with the equalizing goal for the guest team.

Trabzon benefited from the reverse goal that Butahan Shin accidentally scored in his own net in the 20th minute, then Trezeguet played the championship role and scored the third and fourth goals for the landowners in the 35th and 51st minutes.

The victory raised Trabzon’s balance to 51 points, to advance to sixth place, and Fatih Qara Customs’ balance stopped at 44 points, in ninth place.
