Since January 2023, the separation of Daniela Katzenberger’s mother Iris Klein and her husband Peter has dominated the tabloid headlines. The public accusation that he had cheated on her was followed by a separation and a never-ending mudslinging. At the start of “Celebrity Big Brother”, the married couple met again for the first time in months on Monday evening – live in front of the Sat.1 cameras.

“I’m not afraid of anything,” Iris Klein said at the end of last week when she announced her participation. Peter and the other “Celebrity Big Brother” participants were already isolated from the public and found out nothing about the surprise candidate.
Iris was due to move in late on Monday evening – and moments before, Katzenberger’s mother admitted: “I’m scared.” But the 56-year-old didn’t really show it. With a cheerful “Hello guys. No party without mom,” she entered the “Big Brother” container.

While Iris Klein greeted the other candidates, Peter remained lying on the sofa.

Iris Klein then greeted and hugged the other candidates – only Peter remained sitting on the sofa for the time being. Finally he got up, Iris held out her hand to her husband and said: “Hello, my name is Klein.” He replied with a brief “Hello”.
Peter Klein: “I’m calm, I’m an adult”
Shortly afterwards, Peter Klein made it clear in a conversation with his roommates that he was not comfortable with the situation. “Wow, it doesn’t have to be that way,” said the 56-year-old, but also emphasized: “I’m calm, I’m an adult.” Afterwards, Iris and Peter had to go shopping together in the “Big Brother” supermarket – and that was done them professionally. However, because some of their fellow candidates lost the subsequent game of “mat surfing,” the residents were not allowed to keep the food they had purchased.
“Celebrity Big Brother” will be broadcast every evening (8:15 p.m.) on Sat.1 for the next two weeks. After the daily live shows, discussions about the events in the house continue in “Celebrity Big Brother – The Late Night Show”.
