The Turkish lira fell today, Monday, by (0.5%), to slide to a new record low against the dollar, continuing its continuous losses since the elections of last May.
The lira fell to (26.11) pounds against the dollar, from the price (25.969) at which it closed last week and before the Eid holiday, according to Sky News Arabia.
The Turkish lira depreciated by more than (28%) during the current year 2023 AD, and it also decreased by a greater percentage after the re-election of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan last May for a new presidential term.
