In its first session, the G20 Summit discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation among its countries, in addition to actively contributing to the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), which the UAE will host next November, considering it a global conference that unites efforts to address the repercussions of climate change.

This was announced by Nadia Calvino, the Spanish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, who said in her statements on the sidelines of the summit hosted by the Indian capital, New Delhi, that the session witnessed a strong call to strengthen confidence in our common ability to cooperate and work together to confront global challenges such as climate change, in addition to welcoming the African Union to join the conference. the group. She explained that the participants discussed the importance of continuing progress to achieve our goals in the field of environmental action and fulfilling the obligations of the Paris Agreement regarding climate.
