The second Saudi relief plane departed from King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh today (Sunday), heading to Benina International Airport in the city of Benghazi, carrying 40 tons of food aid to be distributed to those affected by the floods witnessed by the sister country of Libya.
This comes in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center to provide food and shelter assistance to those affected by the floods.
A specialized team from the center will supervise the aid delivery process in coordination with the Libyan Red Crescent.
These efforts come as an affirmation of the noble humanitarian role played by the Kingdom’s leadership by standing with brotherly and friendly countries during the various crises and tribulations they are going through.
