The Palestinian national anthem was played Thursday evening before the start of the match Palestine and Lebanon In the joint Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup.
Khalid Bin Mohammed Stadium in Al Shabqa, in the UAE, will host the Palestine-Lebanon match in the first round of Asian qualifiers for the World Cup finals.
The draw placed the Palestine team in the second round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in Group Nine, along with the teams of Lebanon, Australia and Bangladesh.

The Palestinian team is superior to its Lebanese counterpart, as the Palestine team faced its brother, Lebanon, in 5 matches, and Palestine won two matches with 3 draws, without Lebanon winning any match.
