Yesterday, Minister of Health Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Jalajil signed a memorandum of cooperation between the two ministries, with the Minister of Health and Social Care in the United Kingdom, Steve Barclay, during his visit to the United Kingdom by Jalajel and his accompanying delegation.
The memorandum aims to strengthen the partnership between the two ministries, deepen the healthy cooperation between them in areas of common interest, and complete the existing partnership efforts with the support of the leadership of the two countries, which was evident in the joint statement of the visit of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect him – to the United Kingdom in 2018, and what This was followed by meetings of the Saudi-British Strategic Partnership Council.
The two sides agreed to continue technical exchange and joint work, and seek to explore commercial investment opportunities and achieve the common interests of the two parties and the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The two sides also held a consultative session that touched on aspects of cooperation between the two countries, and benefiting from the experience in recovering from the Corona pandemic (Covid-19) and in the field of virtual health care and digital health, in addition to discussing aspects related to the Kingdom’s hosting of the Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) conference next year. 2024 AD and provide expertise in this aspect, in addition to activating cooperation between specialists in the two countries in the various regulatory, oversight, financing and operational aspects.
