Today (Sunday), Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in the ministerial meeting on the situation in Sudan, at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo.
During the meeting, developments in the Republic of Sudan were discussed, in addition to stressing the importance of stopping the military escalation between the conflicting parties and ending the violence.
The meeting also reviewed developments in the (Saudi-American) initiative to host representatives of the conflicting Sudanese parties in Jeddah yesterday, Saturday, which aims to prepare the necessary ground for dialogue to reduce the level of tensions there, in a way that guarantees the security and stability of Sudan and its brotherly people.
The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multiple International Affairs, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Rassi, and the Director General of the Foreign Minister’s Office, Abdul Rahman Al-Daoud.
