The Foreign Minister discusses with Al-Alimi efforts to reach a road map that supports peace in Yemen

Today, President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of the Republic of Yemen, received Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly at its 78th session in New York City.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect them – to the Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, and their wishes to the government and people of brotherly Yemen for more success. Progress and prosperity, while he conveyed his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God support them – and his wishes for the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia further prosperity and well-being.

During the meeting, aspects of bilateral relations were reviewed, and ways to strengthen and develop them, in addition to discussing the efforts made to reach a road map that supports the peace process in Yemen.

The two sides also discussed ways to support dialogue between the Yemeni parties in order to achieve the transition in Yemen to security, stability, comprehensive renaissance and sustainable development.

The reception was attended by Director General of the Foreign Minister’s Office, Abdul Rahman Al-Daoud.
