The Environment announces the updating of the conditions and controls for issuing licenses to practice the activity of practicing the profession of drilling wells

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has updated the conditions and controls for issuing licenses to practice the activity of practicing the profession of drilling wells, and classifying its violations.

The updated conditions and controls included (5) articles that included: general conditions, requirements for issuing and renewing licenses for practicing the activity (practicing the profession of drilling wells), requirements for increasing the depth of drilling licenses for the licensee, the obligations of the licensee for practicing the activity (practicing the profession of drilling wells), and due safety measures To be taken when practicing the activity, it also included a classification of violations of licenses to practice the activity, according to the water system and the executive regulations for the tasks of the Ministry, which included a classification of (36) violations.

And it indicated that the conditions and controls aim to prevent random drilling of wells. To preserve water resources, protect them, ensure their sustainability, manage them, and regulate their affairs, rights related to them, and aspects of their use.

The Ministry renewed its call for the owners of well-drilling equipment to take the initiative to obtain licenses to practice the activity (practicing the profession of drilling wells) before practicing the activity, by entering the Ministry’s platform (Nama), in order to avoid the penalties stipulated in these conditions in accordance with the water system issued by the decision of the Council of Ministers, which It stipulated that “the activity of practicing the profession of drilling wells may not be practiced except after obtaining the necessary license in accordance with the requirements specified by the Ministry.
