The first football team of Al-Ahly club concluded its training this evening, Thursday, at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, UAE, in preparation for tomorrow’s match against Pyramids in the Egyptian Super Cup.
The players and members of the technical, administrative and medical staff were keen to read Al-Fatihah, before the start of the group training sessions.
Marcel Koller, the coach of the team, met with the players for 10 minutes before the start of the training sessions.
The team performed various physical and technical exercises with the ball that lasted for 15 minutes, after which Koller led the players in a training session using the ball by hand, and the technical director followed it with a strong division with the participation of all players, before concluding the training sessions with penalty kick training.
While Michel Yancon, coach of the goalkeepers, led the trio, Muhammad Al-Shennawi, Ali Lotfi and Mustafa Schubert, in individual training sessions, on the sidelines of the team’s group training.
Al-Ahly will face the Pyramids team at 7:30 pm tomorrow, Friday, for the Egyptian Super title, which will be held in the sister country of the United Arab Emirates.
