Algeria finished the 15th edition of the Arab Sports Games, which it hosted from 5 to 15 July, by topping the medal-winning teams with a total of 253 medals.
The Algerian teams participating in this tournament succeeded in winning 253 medals, including 105 gold, 76 silver and 72 bronze medals.
Tunisia maintained second place with 121 medals, including 23 gold, 47 silver and 51 bronze. Morocco came in third place with 84 medals, including 21 gold, 38 silver and 25 bronze.
The 15th Arab Sports Games 2023, hosted by Algeria, kicked off on Wednesday, July 5, in the presence of Algerian Prime Minister Ayman Abdel Rahman, President of the Federation of Arab National Olympic Committees Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Youth and Sports and Head of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi, and Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Social Affairs Sector of the Arab League, Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh.
More than 1,200 athletes from 22 Arab countries competed in this tournament in 22 sports over a period of more than 10 days. Egypt participated in this tournament in athletics.
