Ayman bin Abdelrahman, Prime Minister of Algeria and former president of the 31st Arab Summit, said that the world is experiencing challenges that require unifying the Arab ranks.
In his speech delivered today at the Jeddah summit, on behalf of the Algerian president, the Algerian Prime Minister added that his country appreciates all the efforts made to settle the Yemeni crisis, continuing: Solidarity must be strengthened with our brothers in Somalia and Djibouti, in order to avoid a humanitarian catastrophe with these two brotherly peoples.
He pointed out that Algeria appreciates Saudi Arabia’s efforts to return Syria to the Arab League, welcoming Syria’s restoration of its seat in the Arab League
And he continued: We harnessed our diplomacy to mobilize support for the Palestinian cause (…) We were keen to reunite the Palestinian ranks.
He called on the international community to assume its responsibilities towards the Palestinian people, and to put an end to the Israeli settlement policy.
