With the onset of summer and rising inflation in many countries, many people resort to doing side jobs to earn some money.
In this vein, 39% of Americans say they have one side business, according to a recent Bankrate survey of 2,505 US adults.
On average, they bring in an additional $810 per month.
If you are interested in starting a side business yourself, summer might be the time to do so.
The founder of the BoldHaus consulting company, Angelique Rewers, tells CNBC that people should follow popular activities between June and August, and see if there is a way to make money from them.

Pet owners can be helped by spending time with their pets, feeding them, walking them, etc.
Summer school assistant
The number of students in summer schools increased significantly after the pandemic, with many falling behind in studies.
In this context, Rowers says: “This increase opens up a type of work related to children that did not exist before.”
Distance/online tutor
This has become one of many people’s new favorite ways to make money online, especially for college students. Now there are many companies that allow you to teach online.
Sell things on e-commerce websites
Selling things on eBay was one of the first ways people could make money online. Now it’s easier and less time consuming than it used to be, so you can focus on it in the summer and then it becomes a side business when you go back to school or university.
Fill out online surveys
There are companies that will pay you to take online surveys. All you have to do is sign up, and these companies will contact you when they have a survey that fits your profile. These are usually online market research surveys for major brands.
Drive “Uber” or “Careem”
If you are over the legal age, you can use the car ordering apps to earn some money. All you need is a car and spending time.
