Barcelona said in the Spanish First Division that football director Matteo Alemany will leave the club at the end of the season, a year before the end of his contract.
Al-Barca added that Al-Yamani agreed to complete the club’s plans to sign new players, despite his official departure on the first of July.
Alemani, 60, will leave after two years with Barcelona to start a new project that has not yet been decided.
And Barcelona continued in a statement, “The president (Barcelona Juan) Laporta allowed the departure of Alemani after his commitment to completing plans to sign new players until his last day, and for the club to be able to consult him whenever necessary.”
And the Spanish newspaper “Marca” revealed that Alemani is leaving for a new professional project with Aston Villa, who is coached by Spaniard Unai Emery, who is achieving outstanding results and ranks seventh in the Premier League table.
Barcelona has 82 points from 33 matches, and is 14 points ahead of Real Madrid, second in the standings.
Barcelona can win the title if it defeats its host Espanyol on the 14th of next month.
