His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State, met with Prithvirajsingh Roupon, President of the Republic of Mauritius, as well as Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Prime Minister, where they discussed the relations that unite the UAE and the Republic of Mauritius, and the opportunities and capabilities to develop them and push them forward, for the benefit of the two countries.
During the meeting, His Excellency conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, to the President of the Republic of Mauritius and his wishes for his country and people for further progress and prosperity.

This came during an official visit by His Excellency to the Republic of Mauritius, where he was received by Georges Pierre Lisgongaard, Minister of Energy and Facilities Management, and the two sides discussed ways to develop bilateral relations between the two countries in areas of common interest. The two sides also discussed strengthening cooperation in the field of climate action, in conjunction with the UAE hosting the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), which will be the first after the Paris Agreement to conduct a global assessment of the progress made to achieve global climate goals.
