Senegalese star Sadio Mane (Bayern Munich striker) broke his silence about what happened with his teammate Leroy Sane last season.
Former Liverpool player (Mane) – who was recently chosen as the most disappointing player in the Bundesliga last season – punched his colleague in the face after the 3-0 defeat by Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals last April.
Mane was fined – at the time – 290,000 euros (which is the largest fine in the history of the Bavarian club), and he was also punished with a one-match suspension.

Mane’s punch left Sane’s lip swollen and bloody and their teammates had to separate them in the tunnel to the dressing room.
The duo seemed to bury the hatchet, and Sani even told the club not to cancel the Senegalese winger’s contract.

In an interview with Senegalese media, Mane recalled the “ugly” incident. “This kind of thing can happen,” he told reporters. We managed to solve this little problem..Sometimes problem solving is good but maybe not in this way. I got over the incident and it’s behind us… We’ll try to fight together to help the club achieve its goals for next season.”
He continued, “I am on vacation with the family. It was a very complicated season, it happened. It was not a surprise, I was expecting things to be a bit complicated..and this is normal..I love challenges, and Bayern is a big challenge..it is up to me to do everything to meet this challenge.
And he concluded, “God willing. If all goes well, I will return to Bayern Munich.”

And media reports claimed that Mane would not complete his contract with the Bavarian team and would leave the “Allianz Arena” in the summer Mercato, which begins next Saturday, after his disappointing first season in Germany, after his transfer from Liverpool for 41 million euros.
And the German newspaper “Bild” claimed that Mane is on a list of 7 players that German coach Thomas Tuchel allows to leave the team, and these players are: Sani, Serge Gnabry, Bona Sarr, Alexander Noble, Marcel Sabitzer, Benjamin Pavard.
The Senegalese international – whom the Saudi Al-Ittifaq club expressed his desire to include – presented some of his previous glimpses and skills when he scored two goals in the “Teranga Lions” 4-2 victory over Brazil in a friendly match this month.
