The journalist, Ahmed Schubert, revealed that Al-Ahly’s first friendly match had been postponed, during the Red Genie Camp, which he is currently holding in Austria.
Al-Ahly seeks to control all the championships next season, after supporting its ranks with strong deals, while awaiting the expected deal to sign a foreign striker.
The first football team is in a closed camp until September 6, in preparation for the new season’s competitions.
And Ahmed Schubert wrote, through his official account on the social networking site “Facebook” today: “The Austrian Mawerwerk announces the postponement of the Al-Ahly friendly match that was scheduled for today, due to the injury of many Al-Ahly players.”
The Al-Ahly club’s first football team will perform a single session today, Wednesday, at five o’clock in the evening, Austrian time, on one of the stadiums near the residence hotel in the team’s preparation camp, which is currently taking place in Austria.
Yesterday, the team conducted group training in two periods, morning and evening, as part of the training program developed by the coaching staff, led by Marcel Koller, in preparation for the start of the new season.
Al-Ahly’s technical staff focuses on raising the players’ physical fitness levels, in addition to the tactical and tactical aspects, in order to equip all players during the team’s preparation camp.
