The Saudi cadres working in the initiative at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Indonesia, expressed their happiness at being honored to serve the pilgrims, stressing that the initiative reflects the interest and keenness of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to serve the pilgrims of the Holy House of God.
The supervisor of the “Makkah Road Initiative in Indonesia” team, Lieutenant Colonel Sultan Al-Qahtani, explained that the wise government, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God preserve them – harnessed all capabilities to serve the guests of Rahman, including the “Makkah Road Initiative”, which is one of Saudi Vision 2030 programs.
And he indicated that the initiative works in several stages, including the pilgrims issuing the Hajj visa through the application, which saves them the trouble of reviewing the Saudi representations to issue it, and then serving the pilgrims at Jakarta Airport by examining passports and ensuring that all Hajj requirements are met, with the aim of facilitating their entry into the Kingdom, and saving them the trouble of waiting. Upon their arrival at the Kingdom’s airports, they will then move immediately to their residence.
For his part, Corporal of Passports at King Abdulaziz International Airport, Ahmed Haramli, said: “Praise be to God that I am one of the participants in the Makkah Route initiative to serve the pilgrims of the Sacred House of God in Indonesia, asking God Almighty to accept their pilgrimage and supplication from the pilgrims.

It is noteworthy that the “Makkah Route Initiative” in Indonesia works to complete travel procedures for pilgrims from the departure hall in their countries, starting with issuing the visa electronically and taking vital characteristics, and passing through the completion of passport procedures at the airport of the country of departure after verifying the availability of health requirements, in addition to coding and sorting luggage. According to the transportation and housing arrangements in the Kingdom, and upon their arrival, they transfer directly to buses to take them to their residence in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, with designated tracks, while the service agencies deliver their luggage to their homes.
