Cristiano Ronaldo, Al-Nasr striker, won the best player award in the first month of the new season of the Saudi Professional Football League, while his Portuguese compatriot Nuno Espirito Santo, Al-Ittihad coach, won the best coach award.
Ronaldo scored 5 goals in August, to top the scorers’ ranking, and provided two assists.
After two losses at the beginning of the season to the runner-up, Ronaldo scored a hat-trick in the 5-0 victory over Al-Fateh, and a brace in the 4-0 victory over Al-Shabab, and assisted two goals for Senegalese Sadio Mane.

Nuno won the best coach award after a perfect start for the defending champions, as he achieved 4 consecutive victories in which he scored 12 goals and did not concede, which gave Marcelo Grohe the goalkeeper of the month award.
Abdul-Malik Al-Eairy, Al-Taawoun midfielder, won the Most Promising Player award this month.
