Ohio State will host Virginia in a Saturday second-round NIT game that will tip at 7 p.m.
A No. 2 seed, the Buckeyes defeated Cornell 88-83 on Tuesday night at Value City Arena in the first game with Jake Diebler as head coach. No. 3 seed Virginia Tech advanced after a 74-58 home win against Richmond.
Tickets can be purchased by clicking here. Ohio State had a crowd of 4,517 for Tuesday night’s game.
The game will be televised on ESPN+ and not carried on ESPN’s main networks because the NCAA women’s tournament will occupy most of the broadcast slots during the day. Ohio State’s arena is also occupied as a host site, limiting the windows of availability to broadcast the game.
The Buckeyes will face the Hokies for the first time since Nov. 28, 2005. Ohio State won that game 69-59 at Value City Arena.
