The Festival for Tradition Day, which is commemorated annually on November 10, will be held next Sunday (12) at the Macaya and Mirabelli property (former Tres de Fierro) with a parade through the urban area and Equestrian Games.
The activity – free and open – is organized by Marcelo Luengo, and is supported by the Municipality’s Culture and Education Directorate.
The concentration of the riders and groups is scheduled for 8:30, when a ride will begin in the area near the property, and then, starting at 11, the Equestrian Games will begin.
“This year there will be no Creole parade through the center of the city, but we are going to do several activities on the Macaya and Mirabelli grounds, (former Tres de Fierro),” Marcelo Luengo, organizer of the event, commented this morning (Monday).
“We will start with a parade that has a scheduled route of between 12 and 15 kilometers through the urban area near the property and through the Urban Expansion sector,” said Luengo, adding that “from 11 we will begin with the Equestrian Games , rein tests and ring races, and for the afternoon there are several activities and games planned that the general public can participate in.”
Registration to participate in the different tests will take place that same day and are free. There will be canteen service with traditional foods, such as barbecue, cake and pastries and those who want to come can do so carrying mate equipment and a lounge chair to spend a nice day outdoors.
