Moroccan Wydad is close to winning the African League title sports

Wydad Casablanca of Morocco has come a long way in winning the title of the first edition of the African Football League Championship, after defeating its guest, “Sun Downs” of South Africa, 2-1 today, Sunday, in the first leg of the final of the continental competition.

Wydad took the lead in the 41st minute through an own goal scored by Sun Downs player Rivaldo Coetzee by mistake against his team, before Abdel Moneim Boutouil scored the equalizer for Sun Downs from a penalty kick in the 74th minute.

In the 78th minute, Anas Serhat scored the second goal for Wydad.

The return match will be held next Sunday at Sun Downs, which reached the final by defeating Al-Ahly of Egypt in the semi-final, while Wydad qualified from Esperance of Tunisia.
