The “OPTA” global statistics network revealed the ideal squad for the Saudi Football League season 2022-2023, which recently ended with the coronation of Al-Ittihad Club, and it was surprising that it was devoid of prominent names, led by Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, the star of Al-Nasr Club.
And the official account of the Saudi League published the perfect squad, and it caused widespread controversy among the Saudi fans, whether due to some unexpected choices, or the absence of names expected to attend after the end of the competition.
The Moroccan squad did not include Abdel-Razzak Hamdallah, the league’s top scorer with 21 goals, who led Al-Ittihad to win the title after a 14-year fast, nor his Brazilian runner-up Anderson Talisca, the star of victory, who scored 20 goals.

The most prominent absence was also for the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Al-Nassr during the winter transfer period, and scored 14 goals.
In contrast to the absence of the league’s top scorer and runner-up, the third and fourth scorers were found in the squad, Nigerian Odion Ighalo and Firas Al-Braikan, who scored 19 and 18 goals, respectively, as well as Al-Fateh striker, Moroccan Mourad Patna, who scored 10 goals.
The ideal squad for the Saudi League for the 2022-2023 season, according to the “Opta” network, was as follows:
Goalkeeper: Marcelo Grohe (Al-Ittihad).
Defense line: Jislan Konnan (Al-Nasr), Ahmed Sharahili (Al-Ittihad), Ahmed Hegazy (Al-Ittihad), and Maddallah Al-Olayan (Al-Ittihad).
