The coaching staff of the Olympic football team, led by the Brazilian coach Mikali, decided to summon three professionals to the camp next September, as part of preparations for participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Mahmoud Harb, director of the national team, stated that the three professionals are: Omar Fayed, a professional in Fenerbahce, Bilal Mazhar, a player of Panathinaikos, and Mustafa Ashraf, a player of Monchengladbach.
In a different context, it was not possible to hold a friendly match between the Egyptian Olympic team, led by Rogerio Micale, and his Japanese counterpart during the month of August, as part of the preparation program for the Paris Olympics 2024.
The Football Association offered Mikali to face Japan amicably, but Khawaja, the Brazilian, had reservations about the matter due to the fact that the players are spending the end of the season vacation at the present time, and the difficulty of assembling the players, preferring that they obtain the vacation after a long football season.
