The world champion striker scored from a penalty, with 5 minutes remaining. Former Boca midfielder Nicolás Capaldo played as a starter for the Austrian team.
With this result, Inter remained at the top along with Real Sociedad (also classified) who defeated Benfica 3 to 1 in San Sebastián. World champions Ángel Di María and Nicolás Otamendi played as starters on the Portuguese team.
Real Madrid, with the debut of the Argentine Hispanic Nicolás Paz, qualified for the round of 16 of the European Champions League, with the 3-0 victory against Braga, at home, with two dates left for the end of the group C.
Paz, 19 years old, entered 30 minutes into the second half for Uruguayan Federico Valverde. Real Madrid accumulated its fourth straight victory in its group and sealed its passage to the Champions League round of 16. The Spanish team is the leader with an ideal score (12) followed by Napoli (7) which tied 1-1 with the last Union Berlin (1), at the Diego Armando Maradona in Naples. Striker Giovanni Simeone (ST 30m) joined the Neapolitan club.
Manchester United, with Alejandro Garnacho, lost 4-3 against Copenhagen. The Manchester club ended up with ten players due to the expulsion of English midfielder Marcus Rashford, while former Rosario Central Mateo Tanlongo was a substitute at the venue.
In the same area, Galatasaray, with forward Mauro Icardi as the starter, fell to the leader Bayern Munich by 2 to 1, as a visitor.
