The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments launched the UAE Standard Project for Mosques “Quality – Safety – Civilization” as part of its initiatives to launch a number of projects that contribute to achieving government aspirations and reflect positively on society and the various sectors of the country, within the framework of its strategic vision to upgrade mosques and their civilized mission, and in line with With the vision of “We are the Emirates 2031”.
The authority praised the great support it received from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, which enabled it to advance its message and consolidate it in society on modern and developed foundations, noting that this project is one of its transformational projects that come within the performance agreements of the authorities. The authority said: The aim of preparing the UAE standard for mosques “Quality – Safety – Civilization” is to form a comprehensive system to improve the quality of requirements and services and their quality for all mosques, chapels and places of congregational prayer that the authority supervises at the state level.
The authority indicated that adopting a mosque quality management system would help improve the overall performance of mosques and provide a sound basis for sustainable development.
It meets the legal and regulatory requirements in force continuously, facing risks and investing opportunities related to its context and objectives, and the ability to prove conformity and compliance with the specific requirements of the mosque quality management system, and enables the achievement of the requirements of the standard using the methodology of operations management, all of which contribute to the achievement of complete and comprehensive care for mosques.
