Launching performance evaluation processes for all schools in the Kingdom

The Education and Training Evaluation Commission launched the process of evaluating the performance level of schools for the new academic year, as part of the National School Evaluation Programme, which was launched by the Commission last year, and aims to evaluate the performance of schools and improve the quality of public education outcomes.

The national program implemented by the Authority: To ensure the quality of school performance and its development by providing reliable data, analyzing it, and preparing reports on the level of performance and general education outcomes. This program integrates with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the human capabilities development program in preparing globally competitive citizens.

During the current academic year 1445 AH, the program targets all the Kingdom’s public, private and international schools, numbering more than 25 thousand schools, to implement self-evaluation by the school via the Tamayoz digital platform and provide feedback to it, in addition to implementing the external evaluation by the Authority’s teams for more than 10 thousand schools. And survey the opinions of teachers, parents, and students through digital questionnaires assigned to them.

The Authority also launched the “Tamayoz” digital platform for school evaluation and accreditation and made it available to all public, private, and international schools. It is an integrated technical system for managing the procedures for self- and external school evaluation and accreditation. It includes digital evaluation tools and guides for their application, which supports the processes of analyzing data and issuing reports electronically. This platform provides… A set of services for schools, including implementing all self-evaluation processes and procedures through this platform, reviewing guides (self-evaluation guide, user guide, and electronic services guide for school evaluation and accreditation) and applying tools through it, in both Arabic and English.

School evaluation is viewed as a systematic process for collecting data and information about the performance of general education schools using various evaluation methods and tools. To analyze it and determine the quality level of its performance in light of the standards and tools approved by the Authority, and to submit proposals for improvement and development, which consists of self-evaluation and external evaluation; This is to enable the school to develop its capabilities, make an impact, support continuous improvement and development, and achieve high expectations for learning outcomes.

Self-evaluation processes and tools are applied by a team within the school to monitor its performance and verify its effectiveness and efficiency using the standards approved by the Authority through the “Tamayoz” digital platform. To build improvement plans, as for external evaluation, its processes and tools are applied by an external evaluation team assigned by the Authority. To collect data and information about the level of school performance using the standards approved by the Authority, and upload it to the “Tamayoz” digital platform to issue school evaluation reports. As for school classification, it is an analysis of the results of the external school evaluation, comparing the performance of schools in government, private, and international education, and organizing them into distinct performance levels. It also aims to provide parents and decision-makers in the Ministry of Education with reliable information about the best public, private, and international schools in terms of performance in the Kingdom, and to spread the culture of high performance and excellence. Based on the results of the school calendar; The performance of schools is classified into (4) levels according to the results obtained on (complex, stages, and areas), which are: an outstanding performance level that requires sustained excellence and innovation (from 90% and above), and a good performance level that requires continued improvement and development and follow-up (from 75% and below). From 90%), an acceptable level of performance that requires major improvements in some areas (from 50% to less than 75%), and a low level of performance that needs fundamental interventions to improve in most areas of evaluation (less than 50%).

School accreditation represents an official recognition granted by the Authority or any body licensed by it that the private or international school has met the conditions and standards of school accreditation approved for a specific period of time.

The Authority works in accordance with its mission and objectives and in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and government institutions. To contribute to raising the quality and efficiency of education and assessment to the highest international levels in a way that contributes to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and the goals of the Human Capacity Development Program, in order to achieve its vision of being a high-impact Saudi model for quality in education and training, a global leader, and a contributor to achieving national development and economic growth.
