Latin Grammy 2023. The entire list of winners and the best from Seville

We are live from the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions (FIBES) in Seville, Spain, where today the 24th Academy Awards for the best works of Latin music are being held.

Of the 56 categories that are being contested today, 46 are awarded during the Premiere ceremony that begins today at 8:30 am PT due to the time difference with Seville. The Premiere is the streaming ceremony prior to the televised Latin Grammy awards ceremony and will be hosted by Brazilian singer and Latin Grammy nominee, Giulia Be, who will be accompanied by Spanish actor and singer, Miguel Ángel Muñoz.

As hosts of the main televised award ceremony where the remaining 10 awards are presented, the Latin Recording Academy has decided to have the participation of Colombian singer Sebastián Yatra, Mexican singer Danna Paola and actresses Roselyn Sánchez and Paz Vega.

Édgar Barrera, the composer from McAllen, TX is the most nominated with 13 nominations, almost double those that follow it with 7. Most of its compositions are made in the Mexican regional, but it competes in Record of the Year for La Formula de Maluma and Marc Anthony/ in album of the year competes with De interior pa’ exterior by Camilo and in Song of the year by Nasa another by Camilo with Sanz and one from the Mexican regional by Un X100to by Grupo Frontera and Bad Bunny, among other categories.

The Song of the Year category features an exceptional group of creators and artists who reflect the diversity of Latin music and its great cultural influence worldwide.

Shakira and Karol G were the female artists with the most nominations of this edition. Shakira has 7 nominations, including the categories for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Song for “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53 Bizarrap Featuring Shakira”, but in this last category she will compete with herself for her song “Acróstico ” and his collaboration with Karol G on the song “TQG”. This same song also gave him nominations in the sections for Best Urban Fusion/Performance and Best Urban Song.

For her part, Karol G, after sharing three nominations with Shakira for “TQG” in the categories of Song of the Year, Best Urban Fusion/Performance and Best Urban Song, also competes in the main category for Record of the Year for her song “Mientras me curo del cora”, in addition to Album of the Year and Best Urban Music Album for his production “Mañana will be Bonito” and for his single Gatúbela in the category for Best Reggaeton Performance.

The Colombian singer and producer and composer Kevin Mauricio Cruz Moreno is another of the figures who achieved 7 nominations this year, like the Colombian Camilo.

Bad Bunny competes with 5 nominations, including Song of the Year and Best Regional Mexican Song for his collaboration “Un X100to” with Grupo Frontera, Best Urban Fusion/Performance and Best Urban Song for “La Jumpa” with Arcangel and Best Song by Rap/Hip Hop for his collaboration with Eladio Carrion on the song “Coco Chanel”. Also with 5 nominations are Natalia Lafourcade and the Argentine performer Maria Becerra, the Colombian singer Feid and Pablo Alborán.

Juanes and Paula Arenas start with 4 nominations, as do Santiago Alvarado and the Colombian producer Ovy On The Drums, known for his work with Nicki Minaj, Karol G, Becky G, Paulo Londra and Bad Bunny, among others.

Laura Pausini is the Person of the Year y Antonio Banderas receives the Presidential Award from the Latin Recording Academy.
