Klopp does not rule out coaching the Germany national team after his departure from Liverpool

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp does not rule out the possibility of coaching the German national football team after the end of his contract with his English team.

The German Klopp, 56, said – during an event organized by the German company “Fisher” on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of its founding – that “the position of coach of the (German) national team will be a great honor, there is no doubt about that.”

“The problem that prevents me from doing that is loyalty,” he added. I cannot leave Liverpool now and take charge of Germany, things do not work like this, and there is no offer in the first place.

Klopp, whose contract with Liverpool extends until 2026, confirmed, “If I’m going to do that at some point, I have to be available, and the situation is not like this at the moment… I have a responsibility towards the club.”

“It’s an exciting job, but I don’t know right now if I’m going to do something completely different when I leave Liverpool,” he said. “I want to keep my options open.”

The German national team has been suffering from poor results since the World Cup in Russia in 2018 and through the Qatar World Cup 2022, as the Germans were eliminated from the first round in the two versions after a performance far from what the team that crowned the World Cup in Brazil in 2014 deservedly presented.

Some German fans are calling for Klopp to coach the national team to rebuild it and restore strong competition for titles instead of leaving early.
