Jazan University Council appoints and dispatches 106 faculty members

The President of Jazan University, Prof. Dr. Mari bin Hussein Al-Qahtani, stressed the importance of concerted efforts in the university sectors to start a new academic year. Noting the importance of integrating the roles of educational, supervisory and administrative cadres and staff, completing efforts to start the new academic year, and preparing the academic environment to receive new and regular students on the first day of school.

This came during his presidency of the University Council in its ninth session for the academic year 1444 AH this morning in the Council Hall in the Administrative Tower, in the presence of the Secretary-General for Universities Council Affairs Dr. Bassam bin Abdullah Hamad Al-Bassam and members of the University Council.

The Vice-President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Secretary of the University Council, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abu Rasin, stated that the council agreed to appoint and nominate a number of Saudi faculty members and the like, 1 at the rank of associate professor, 32 at the rank of assistant professor, and 5 at the rank of lecturer, and scholarships. And the continuation and transfer of the mission of 68 teaching assistants and lecturers of both sexes to obtain master’s and doctoral degrees in various specializations, granting scientific degrees to 87 postgraduate students, approving the establishment of an academy under the name “Health Professions Education Academy” at the College of Medicine, and approving a number of research topics.
