Simone Inzaghi, coach of Inter Milan’s first football team, hopes to sign Lazio defender Adam Marusic to support the team this summer.
This is according to Corriere dello Sport, the Montenegrin international will be one of Inzaghi’s most important targets to replace Denzel Dumfries and it will cost no less than 10 million euros.
The Montenegrin defender already has experience playing under Inter coach Simone Inzaghi, having spent four seasons together at Lazio when Inzaghi was in charge of the Biancoceleste.
In the same context, Chelsea was closely associated with Demfries in the past winter transfer windows.
However, Gianluca Di Marzio reports that both the Blues and Manchester United have cooled their interest in signing the Dutchman.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United has emerged as a possible destination for Dumfries in the past few weeks.
And in the event of the departure of the Dutchman, Marusic will be his replacement at the Giuseppe Meadza stadium, despite his contract, which is valid until 2026 with Lazio.
