Manchester City has backed away from its bid to sign West Ham captain Declan Rice, after Arsenal made another “better” bid for the player for 105 million pounds ($134 million).
And the British news agency “BA Media” learned that Arsenal made its last offer to join English international Rice (24 years) – yesterday, Tuesday – after West Ham rejected two previous offers.
It was also reported that Manchester City submitted an offer of 90 million pounds sterling and was rejected, and the club, crowned with the treble, decided in the past season not to try to make another offer similar to or better than Arsenal’s offer.
Arsenal made an offer of 100 million pounds, in addition to 5 million other variables, in exchange for contracting with the player.
According to this offer, Rice will be the most expensive British player ever and will also break Arsenal’s previous record in the transfer market.
