Norwegian international player Erling Haaland, Manchester City striker, revealed that he sleeps with his mouth closed, as part of an intense night regime aimed at maintaining his impressive level with his team that won a historic treble last season.
Halland follows an unusual regime in the evening, which includes closing his mouth and wearing blue light-blocking glasses for 3 hours before going to sleep.
The 23-year-old talked about his nighttime habits in an interview with YouTube user Logan Paul on his podcast, and said, “I think sleep is the most important thing in the world, and that good sleep, simple things like blue glasses, and blocking all signals in a room Sleep is really important.”
“You should try to tape your mouth shut,” he said. I sleep with it. Doing a lot of things is not good, but doing little things every day for a longer period really pays off.”
Haaland said the reason for tying his mouth is to increase breathing through the nostrils, while exposure to blue light sources, such as electronic devices, can affect sleep.
Haaland scored 52 goals in various competitions in his first season with Manchester City, helping his club win the Champions League, Premier League and domestic cup. He also set a record for one season by scoring 36 goals in the Premier League last season.
Halland revealed earlier about his special diet, which depends on eating a cow’s heart and liver, in addition to a drink made of milk, kale and spinach.
