Leipzig announced today that Linz signed a one-year contract, with the possibility of extending it for another year.
The value of the contract with the 28-year-old player was estimated at one million euros ($1.1 million).
Linz, who played 34 games with Eintracht Frankfurt last season, will most likely be a substitute for German international David Rom, but he can also play in the center of defense or in midfield.
