Newcastle United has reached a full agreement with AC Milan to sign young star Sandro Tonali, and the official agreement will be announced soon.
Newcastle will pay 70 million euros – the number requested by the “Rossoneri” to complete the agreement – in addition to 10% of the value of any future deal from the sale of Tonali.
In turn, Tonali, 23, agreed to the personal clauses in the contract, which runs until the summer of 2029.
And Tonali will receive 7 million euros per season, in addition to two million as variables and additions.
With this number, Tonali, the defensive midfielder, has become:
- The most expensive Italian player in history, surpassing compatriots Jorginho, Gianluigi Buffon and Christian Ferry.
- The highest sale deal for a player in Milan’s history, surpassing Brazilian Kaka, who moved to Real Madrid in 2009 for 67 million euros.
- The fifth highest deal in the history of the Italian League after the Belgian Romelu Lukaku (from Inter Milan to Chelsea), the French Paul Pogba (from Juventus to Manchester United), the Argentine Gonzalo Higuain (from Napoli to Juventus), and the French Zinedine Zidane (from Juventus to real madrid).
- The highest deal in the history of Newcastle United, equally with the Swedish Alexander Isak.
