Farida Khalil wins the gold medal in the World Youth Modern Pentathlon Championship

Farida Khalil, the player of our national modern pentathlon team, was crowned with the gold medal for the women’s singles competition at the World Modern Pentathlon Championship for youth under 17 years, which is hosted by the Arab Naval Academy from 11 to 16 July.

A unique medal came after she scored 1338 points, and German Nadia Farmand came in second place with 1323 points, while Italian Anna Chiara Alara came in third place with 1316 points.

Janna Al-Jundi, the national team player, ranked fifth with 1292 points, while her colleague Sarah Muhammad came in the sixteenth place, and Retaj Ramadan came in the nineteenth place.

The youth final competitions will start today with the participation of the Egyptian quartet: Mohamed Hatem, Saif Wael, Osama Medhat, and Tarek Tamer.

The tournament will be held with the participation of 210 male and female players representing 35 countries, in addition to a delegation from the International Federation, consisting of 17 individuals.

Our national team was crowned with two gold medals in the youth relay by the duo Mohamed Hatem and Osama Medhat, and a silver medal in the women’s relay for the doubles Sarah Mohamed and Farida Khalil.
