The Environmental Security Special Forces arrested 22 violators of the environmental law (17 citizens, 4 residents of Sudanese nationality, and a resident of Yemeni nationality), who committed violations of grazing 620 camels and 150 heads of sheep in places where grazing is prohibited in the King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve and the King Abdulaziz Reserve. King Salman Royal, the Imam Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Royal Reserve, and the Imam Saud bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve, stressing that the penalty for violating camel grazing is a fine of up to 500 riyals per body, and the penalty for sheep grazing is a fine of up to 200 riyals per head.
The Special Forces for Environmental Security stated that regular procedures have been applied against violators, urging them to report any cases that represent an assault on the environment or wildlife at the number (911) in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the Kingdom.
