EleVen By Venus Wiliams merges with Lacoste aesthetics

Highly competitive athlete. Entrepreneur. Defender of gender equality. Venus Williams is a pioneer, her impact and influence transcends the world of sports. Lacoste ambassador since 2022, the icon unveils a capsule in which her brand EleVen By Venus Wiliams merges with Lacoste.

Lacoste continues to focus its collections on a more lifestyle universe, where fashion and sport come together. Here, the experience of the crocodile brand is shown in a women’s collection for the FW23-24 season on which Venus has been working for more than a year. Photographed in New York, the collection is born among the skyscrapers. Always in motion, the city that never sleeps became the best setting, symbolizing the infinite possibilities that Venus represents.

A total of 18 pieces make up this capsule, including a nylon tracksuit and a striped short-sleeved polo shirt – Venus Williams’ favorite piece. The iconic V-neck knit sweater, reimagined with an XXL version of the crocodile, is also part of the collection, as well as a pleated skirt and a fleece sweater with the phrase “Venus did it first” – a nod to character ingenious by René Lacoste. A collector’s piece completes the capsule: a two-tone ribbed varsity jacket.

Even though it is a predominantly feminine collection, the pieces have obviously been designed with a genderless vision. “L”, 1933 and the crocodile: the pieces of the collection have been embroidered with patches inspired by the Ivy League logos. The capsule represents the team spirit that Lacoste has supported since its founding 90 years ago.
