CD Tenerife B added three very important points against Arucas CF (2-1). The squad led by Leandro Cabrera took the lead in the 17th minute with a goal from Cacho and extended their lead before halftime through a great play by Gabri. After the break, Aníbal closed the gap for the Gran Canaria team, but CD Tenerife B maintained its lead.
In the end, the three points remained at the Ciudad Deportiva de Tenerife Javier Pérez and allowed the blue and white team to equal UD Las Palmas Atlético on points. The match began with even dominance by both teams. CD Tenerife B had its first chance in a corner taken by Fabricio that Raúl narrowly missed. Just a few seconds later, the Gran Canarians responded to a drive by Carlos that Aníbal headed over Moha Ramos’ goal, very forced.
The pulse of the match dropped, but after fifteen minutes, Raúl stole in the center of the field, Gabri received the ball and Cacho ran to stand in front of Robles and overtake CD Tenerife B with a powerful shot. After the goal, the locals continued searching for the Gran Canaria goal and Ethyan was about to score, in a poisoned center cleared for a corner by Robles.
At half an hour, a good combination by Arucas CF ended with a dangerous shot by Asdrúbal inside the area that Moha Ramos took for a corner. In the corner kick, Carlos Delgado lacked aim, who headed wide. Shortly before the break, Gabri received a cross from César in the area and with great skill surpassed his defender to beat Robles (2-0).
The second half started with Arucas CF looking for a quick reaction to score and it didn’t take too long to adjust the result, because after nine minutes Isi rode on the wing, beating Otero and crossed to Ánibal, who stood up Omar and beat Moha Ramos (2-1). A few minutes earlier, Ethyan had headed over the Arucas CF goal after a foul by Fabricio.
FINAL STRETCH
The visiting team pushed against a CD Tenerife B that had fallen into disrepair. After a quarter of an hour, Víctor Socorro skilfully brought down a ball from the sky and faced up to shoot from outside the area, but his shot had too much effect and did not go between the three posts. Shortly after, Asdrúbal gave way from the edge of the area to Kevin, who also failed to hit his attempt.
They were the most dangerous minutes for the Gran Canarian squad, which later put Moha Ramos in trouble with a shot very close to Aníbal’s goal, but which the Tenerife goalkeeper managed to save from point-blank range. The match gradually entered a phase of comings and goings and the changes refreshed CD Tenerife B, who knew how to suffer and kept the three points.
