Xavi (43 years old) took charge of the team in which he played during the majority of his professional career in 2021, succeeding the Dutchman Ronald Koeman.

He succeeded in renewing the team’s blood with new deals, most notably Polish star Lewandowski from Bayern Munich, and the latest big deal from German Gundogan from England’s Manchester City.

The former international player, who won the 2008 and 2012 European Championships and the 2010 World Cup, coached Barcelona in 96 matches, achieving 61 wins, 16 draws and 19 defeats.

He achieved his first title as head of the coaching staff of the Catalan team last season when he won the Spanish Super Cup before leading the team to win the Spanish League last season for the first time in 4 years and 27th overall.

Xavi, a member of the Barcelona academy, spent 17 years as a player with the club, during which he played 767 matches and won 25 titles, including the league title 8 times and the Champions League 4 times.
