King Abdulaziz University culminated in its strategic development plan by launching 3 developmental educational projects. Its cost is approximately 91 million riyals; These include the establishment of laboratories for the Department of Radiology at the College of Applied Medical Sciences, the expansion of the University Dental Hospital, and the King Faisal Convention Center; In addition to working on the completion of 25 projects within the university city, including buildings, classrooms and laboratories.
The project for the laboratories of the Department of Radiology Sciences at the College of Applied Medical Sciences; From the educational training system of the Department of Radiology.. one of the comprehensive advanced educational edifices, and the recipient of the award for the best health scientific department at the university level; Which proceeds towards excellence and global leadership by aiming to improve the educational process for male and female students through the investment of modern devices of its kind in the field of radiology and excellence in educational programs, training and continuing education, and building effective partnerships with various relevant authorities from government and private hospitals.
These laboratories focus on enhancing knowledge exchange between the various sectors of the university, providing diagnostic and community services, and expanding the capacity to accommodate clinical cases at the university. Keeping pace with the development in this field and increasing the absorptive capacity for the benefit of male and female students, male and female employees of the university, and the various groups of society; This establishes the objectives of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, foremost of which is creating an optimal environment for fruitful cooperation with all universities, sectors and various centers for community service.
The University Dental Hospital expansion project stems from the distinction of the College of Dentistry in terms of quality and development. This hospital will provide the best treatment and educational services for patients, through comprehensive integrative treatment. It is considered the first and most modern hospital specialized in oral and dental health in Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, which includes 107 dental clinics in all specialties, as work has been done on this project since 1436 AH.
The King Faisal Conference Center is also; One of the most modern centers for holding exhibitions and conferences, which was designed to serve the needs of the university, and includes halls, theaters and arenas for shows; All modern technical means are available in it, and it has been expanded by approximately 1,200 square meters, and equipped with all modern facilities and systems.
The center expansion project includes a hall with a capacity of 900 square metres. Versatile, additional space for outdoor events on the rooftop; With a wonderful view of the university’s facilities surrounding the center, in addition to the wonderful green areas attached to the center, which is used for holding exhibitions, conducting research, holding courses, and workshops, as well as serving the various sectors that cooperate with the university from the public and private sectors.
