Four Palestinians were martyred, and another child was injured today, Monday, by Israeli army gunfire in the city of Tulkarm, north of West Bank.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a brief statement: “Four Palestinians were martyred and another was injured after an occupation army force opened fire on them, while they were inside a vehicle, at the entrance to the Tulkarm camp.”
The Ministry also confirmed: “The health condition of the fifth wounded person, a 14-year-old child, who was injured in the chest, has stabilized.”
Among the martyrs who died in the assassination, according to Safa Agency, were Izz al-Din Awad (commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades), Jihad Maharaj Shehadeh (commander of the Rapid Response Battalion in the Al-Aqsa Brigades/Tulkarm), and Qasim Rajab.
Wafa quoted eyewitnesses as saying that an Israeli special force stormed the city in a private vehicle bearing a Palestinian registration plate and intercepted the vehicle in which the four young men were traveling at the slaughterhouse roundabout in the eastern neighborhood of Tulkarm, and fired heavy bullets at them from a zero distance, which led to their martyrdom and the injury of a child.
