The Vice President of the Supreme Council for Space and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Space Commission, Engineer Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha, raised the highest verses of congratulations and blessings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and to the Crown Prince, Prime Minister and President of the Supreme Space Council, Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, for the successful completion of the mission. Scientific aboard the International Space Station, after the return of the astronauts, Rayana Bernawi and Ali Al-Qarni, and their arrival to Earth safely this morning (Wednesday).
Al-Sawaha said: This historical scientific mission would not have been possible – after God’s grace – without the support and empowerment of His Highness, the Crown Prince, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Space, of the Kingdom’s program for astronauts, and his careful follow-up of all the details of this scientific mission, which recorded a historical precedent with the arrival of the first Saudi and Arab Muslim female astronauts to the space station. International Space Station, in addition to the first Saudi astronaut to reach the International Space Station.
Al-Sawaha added that the research and scientific experiments carried out on board the station are in line with the national aspirations and priorities for research, development and innovation launched by the Crown Prince, in affirmation of the Kingdom’s commitment and efforts to empower people, protect the planet and shape new horizons through science, research and innovations through space.
