His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Bakhtiyar Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, at the Ministry’s General Court in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting, they discussed the friendly relations between the UAE and Uzbekistan, in addition to the paths of joint cooperation and ways to enhance them in all fields, including economic, investment and trade, in addition to the climate within the framework of the UAE’s hosting of the “COP28” conference.
His Highness and the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan also reviewed the strategic partnership between the two countries in the field of government modernization, and its role in enhancing the benefit from the distinguished government experiences in the two countries.
The two ministers also discussed a number of regional and international issues of common concern, and exchanged views on them.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Bakhtiar Saidov’s visit, stressing the distinguished friendship between the UAE and Uzbekistan.
His Highness added, during the meeting, that the UAE pays great attention to developing its bilateral relations with Uzbekistan, and investing in the available opportunities to expand the horizons of cooperation and joint work, in various fields, especially economic and trade, in a way that meets the mutual interests of the two countries and their peoples, praising the distinguished partnership that binds the two countries. In the field of government modernization, which was launched in 2019.
For his part, Bakhtiar Saidov expressed his country’s aspiration to enhance bilateral cooperation with the UAE in all fields, praising its leading position at the regional and international levels.
The meeting was attended by Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and Saeed Mubarak Al Hajri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
